Design your graphics
The design process is really easy, and in most cases, it’s just a matter of sending us your original graphics file, or directing us to your website and we can grab it and clean it up for you.
Here are the instructions on the size recommendations and process, but if you are not sure, just go to the Contact page and ask me a question and we will help you figure it out.
What sort of images can I get engraved?
We can engrave most graphics files, as long as they are clean. Things like logos, words or line drawings are the most simple designs and work well.
Photographs can be more difficult, but with a bit of design, we can usually make them work.
Because the laser cannot do colors, the graphics files will be converted to “Grey Scale”, where colors are basically converted to shades of gray.
Easiest way to know, is send you files to us, and we will let you know what can be done, maybe even do a proof to check how it will look.
For example:

Creating your graphics file is very easy.
Just use your favorite graphics editor to save your file to JPG or PNG format (the most common formats). Other formats should also be fine and we should be able to read them. Keep in mind the safe engraving areas below.
I will make scale to fit the space for you, so don’t worry if the file size looks too big. Bigger the better for image quality.
If you don’t have a graphics program, I recommend Canva.com. It is very comprehensive and very easy to use.
If you’re not sure, just send me what you have and either I can advise, or I can extract the artwork for you.
For most jobs, I will send you an email of a blank “proof” engraved on black alloy so you can see the the quality and how will fit and look.

What if I am not sure about the design?
If I am not sure with the design, or I just want your feedback, I will do a sample engraving on a blank aluminum card and send you a scan via email, just to make sure you are satisfied with the result.
This does not add any cost, but it gives us both peace of mind that the result is what you want.
